Field Marshals are here to help provide MSA with an additional level of presence at the park, and to ensure the events of the day go smoothly.
The Field Marshals shall wear the issued safety vest that designates them as such and will also be issued a radio for communications with a Board Member or the Referee Coordinator.
A few of the responsibilities may include:
- Support the referees and relay any incidents to a Board Member
- Monitor Parent/Player/Coach conduct on and off the field (take note of any incidents)
- Direct the Board Members to the location of any safety or medical incidents (possible heat stroke, injury, etc)
- Ensure the park patrons leave the area clean and not littered
- Direct patrons to exit the fields, should the Lightning Warning System be activated
Expectations:
- Arrive 10-15 minutes before start of shift
- Sign in at the Field Marshal table, Referee table or Concession stand
- Wear the issued Field Marshal vest and utilize issued radio if necessary
- Volunteers shall conduct themselves in accordance with the NTXSSA Code off Ethics/Conduct
- Provide support to MSA as outlined in the Responsibilities listed above
- Return issued equipment to MSA and sign out in a timely manner (for next shift to start)
